There are days when you wonder inside whether you did the right thing, leaving a high paying job and ever rising position in the corporate ladder, with a hope of doing something useful for others. Today was one such day. However all the readings from the Bible this morning was telling me to rely on God today. Give us this day our daily bread. The God who gave manna to the Israelites, in the desert, enough to sustain them for the day, and gave it every day for 40 years, who instructed them not to store it even for the next day, the same God provides. Today's Daily Bread reading reminded to "Have faith and wait". Foolishness in the eyes of world can be God's wisdom. He is the one who led me into this decision. He will lead me through.
The last 2 months has seen people like Relly, Gisha and Divya very actively into the thought process of PrismTree. It has seen new thought process in Ronnie about socially impacting business. It has given Namu a fresh chance to see the world through a new perspective of possibilities. It has increased thought collaboration between Vino d, Peter Pradeep and me. It has enabled me to be a strong supporter to Peter Pradeep when he went through the worst crisis in Social sector. PrismTree made him realize that he is not alone in his journey, and that he can move on with confidence.
PrismTree gave hope to Sujit Vengal in thinking fresh. PrismTree gave Gisha and Biju the courage to move forward in their new venture, and got them introduced to new potential clients in Abacus Consulting. PrismTree Consulting gave Shashi the platform to think creatively and innovatively towards patenting a new idea and starting a new business. PrismTree got exposure with some of the people in the social sector like Nithya Raman from Ford Foundation, Arvind Venkatadri from Akashara. PrismTree is giving rays of hope to certain charitable organizations to do something meaningful towards livelihood of the people dependent on it. PrismTree gave with confidence options of opportunity in the National Open School as well as in the livelihood creation area, for Empacs Board, though they still have not done anything despite that.
This new road has got me into an intellectually high active mode in both social sector and technology to conceptualize new ways of working. The new methodology is at work in analysing CMS NGO in India. I will be giving the first management seminar to their board of directors next week. My analysis of their organization gave me higher confidence in what to do with my methodology. A new impressive personal profile of me as a consultant is now ready. The level of confidence in doing new things has increased.
It is only 2 months since I started very very fresh, and God has been good as he has promised. There is nothing to be discouraged. I want to be actively there along with the others to wipe the tears. God, give me strength and daily bread for today. Amen
